FAQs
Who can book sessions with me?
My services are aimed at adults who are experiencing psychological distress, personal crises, or a desire for change. Whether a formal diagnosis already exists or you are simply seeking guidance, we will explore together if and how psychotherapy can be helpful for you.
What happens in the first session?
In the first session, we get to know each other. I listen to your concerns, we clarify your expectations and goals, and discuss important practical aspects of our work together. We also explore what a possible therapeutic path could look like, which methods may be suitable, and how we can shape your individual journey.
How does psychotherapy work?
Psychotherapy is a shared journey in which you set the direction and pace, and I accompany you as a co-pilot. Typically, we start with 3–5 initial sessions. These serve for mutual introduction, diagnostic assessment, and goal setting.
Following this, therapy can continue as short-therm therapy (usually 24 sessions, 50 mins each) or long-term therapy (usually up to 60 sessions, 50 mins each; requires a formal review from your insurance provider). The work is tailored to your needs and develops collaboratively throughout the process.
How does insurance coverage work?
If you wish to have therapy covered by your health insurance, a formal diagnosis is usually required. We clarify this together as part of the initial sessions, and I guide you through each step of the process so you always know what to expect. For private insurance, coverage conditions vary depending on your individual contract, so it’s a good idea to check with your insurer before starting therapy.
In which languages are sessions offered?
Sessions can be conducted in German, English, or Bulgarian. Sometimes languages mix naturally — especially when emotions do not follow grammar rules. A combination is therefore welcome.
